We are part of a generation who believes God is bigger, more real, more loving, more kind, more present, more for us… than we can possibly imagine. We Want MORE is a growing movement of people who believe Jesus didn’t come to the planet just so we could give him a little time on Sundays, or to be a little nicer, more religious, or more moral. We believe He came to transform hearts, families, and communities… to give us a new source for our identities and a new purpose for being.

Through 3 to 7-day teen internships, renewal events, study groups, leadership retreats, prayer engagements, and partnerships with youth leaders and churches, we are committed to inspiring, empowering and equipping a generation of “sons and daughters”* of the King, to deeply engage in their identity and purpose in Christ. We envision a movement of thousands of transformed individuals and families, awakening to His presence and love in a deeper way, setting aside disordered affections of the heart, and generously engaging the world's deepest needs with their gifts and passions. We are finding many who have a cry in their Spirit that says “There Must Be More!”... and we believe there is!

‘We Want MORE’ officially launched in January of 2012, but God had been preparing the team for two years by bringing five people from different locations who were individually, and then collectively, rocked by the presence and power of God. Each one felt the cry of their heart for MORE.

The five began to Skype regularly and pursue God together. As they sought the Lord, doors began to open for the ministry of We Want MORE to be shared with students, young adults, and parents. The team planned the first youth retreat, held in Connecticut over the New Year’s break in 2011. They felt confirmation to continue moving forward as a team when they saw numerous kids either come into a personal relationship with God for the first time or those that already knew Him desire to go much deeper. Within a year, God provided an incredible ministry house in Bridgeport, Connecticut through the faithful prayers of those who had begun to come around to support them.

Today the team is working with people locally, nationally, and internationally to see lives transformed by the love of Jesus. The ministry house is the home base for the core team, and a sending-out station for leaders who will change the world for God’s Kingdom! By God’s grace and the power of His Spirit, we are asking God to lead thousands into His presence so they can know the MORE that satisfies our hearts and changes our world.

Bruce Halsted

Bruce would be the first to admit he’s not a big bio fan. If he had a choice, and he does, he would say… “Bruce Halsted, Christ follower, on an incredible adventure, being led by the King of Kings and often surprised by how God uses him to give leadership to various ministry enterprises. He is currently pursuing a deeper joy, shalom, and love for God, his family and for others. Bruce brings 25 years of leadership experience to We Want MORE, including a career on Wall Street as a Network Consultant, a national leader with Cru, formerly Campus Crusade for Christ, and most recently as Executive Director for The Gabriel Foundation, a family foundation with a high value on partnerships and leveraging resources for Kingdom efforts. Bruce served as an Elder at Redeemer church in NYC and a church plant in Orlando, Florida. Bruce lives with his beautiful wife Cindy, and their three children Christina, Anna, and Pierce in the Brooklawn area of Fairfield/Bridgeport, CT.

Cindy Halsted

Cindy’s not a big bio fan either, but would want to be known as one who loves God, His Scripture (“the Word”), and seeing others experience God’s love and forgiveness! She has 17 years of leadership experience in various ministry, church and foundation contexts in New York City, Orlando, Connecticut and nationally. She is the Co-Director of We Want MORE, where she is able to exercise and communicate her passions about giving, prayer and awakening “sons and daughters” to their identity and purpose in Christ. Cindy lives with her husband Bruce, and their three children Christina, Anna, and Pierce in the Brooklawn area of Fairfield/Bridgeport, CT.

Cherisse Burnham

Cherisse graduated from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin with a double major in Theatre Performance and English and a Secondary Education minor (apparently, she really liked homework!). After deciding to intentionally and passionately pursue Christ her junior year of college, her career trajectory gradually changed from acting to ministering. She now loves her current position as the We Want MORE ministry’s main intercessor, and is excited about helping as a youth leader, connecting teens to God’s heart. She lives with her husband Ryan in Fairfield, CT.

Ryan Burnham

Pele? Beckham? Zidane? Whatever… the WWM team has Burnham! Who? Ryan attended Northeastern University in Boston on a full scholarship, starting freshman year on their Division 1 soccer team, and leading his senior year as Captain. God radically transformed his life during his freshman year in college. Even with a great love for soccer, his passion for God continued to become more important. Upon graduating with a major in communications and minor in Spanish, he put aside his dreams of becoming a professional soccer player, to serve the Lord wholeheartedly with WWM, desiring to help teens know the truth, love and power of Jesus and His desire to provide them with profound identity and purpose.
